Unfortunately, everyone does sometimes. A death is something that is very difficult to prepare for. You know it's part of life but of course you never get used to it. No death is of course the same and not every death fits a standard gift. It always remains a difficult question what to give someone who has just lost a loved one. Is this a flower or are you writing a card. Many people light a candle for the other. This is the reason for Label my Light to do something with it.

I myself have been on the other side of a death for years. For about 4 years I have worked as an employee at a large funeral director in the Netherlands. You see many funerals pass by this way and know that no funeral is the same.

It is important how the next of kin are taken care of and in particular the warm messages/gifts these people receive. By personalizing candles on the occasion of a death, we also want to see if we can put a heart to next of kin.
